Cooking workshops

Hands-on classes where participants learn recipes from African and Caribbean cuisines, build kitchen skills, and celebrate cultural traditions.

Mentoring & leadership

Guided one-on-one and group mentorship that builds confidence, advocacy skills, and pathways into community leadership and entrepreneurship.

Mental-health supports

Culturally responsive wellbeing sessions and referrals to counselling that strengthen emotional resilience and help participants access local youth mental-health resources.

Cook For Inclusion Overview

Cooking for Inclusion is an inclusive program targeted at black girls between the ages of 12-24. Join us for this 6-month program (monthly gatherings) where participants from diverse backgrounds will bond, learn, and grow through the joys of cooking cuisines from across the African and Caribbean diaspora.

In addition to cooking, participants will have an active role in planning and delivering activities, empowering them to shape their own journey. Themes of activities include basics of food photography, grocery shopping, visits to the farmers’ market, food sampling, and budgeting.

Registration, Fees & Refunds

  • PARTICIPANTS CAN ONLY REGISTER FOR ONE COHORT OVER THE TWO YEARS OF THE PROGRAM.
  • Only new participants are allowed for each cohort.
  • Participants will pay a $50 fee for each cohort upon registration. Each participant may only register for one cohort, with each cohort lasting six months.
  • Refunds of deposits will be made within 3 MONTHS of cohort completion.
  • For Feb – June 2025 cohort, please expect your refunds by October 1, 2025.
  • For July – Dec 2025 cohort. Please expect your refund by March 1, 2026.

Key Program Details:

There will be two separate cohorts of students each semester:

- Cohort 1: February to June 2025
- Cohort 2: July to December 2025

Each cohort will operate within its designated semester.
