IgniteHER Network

Ensuring that young women have the support, guidance, and opportunities they need to thrive as leaders in their communities and beyond.

IgniteHER Network

The IgniteHER Network is a vibrant community for young women ages 17 to 25 from African, Caribbean, and Black (ACB) communities who are ready to take the next step in their personal and professional journey. Created as a natural extension of the Be-Girl Program,

IgniteHER was developed in response to the recognized gap in spaces where young adults can connect, access resources, and receive continued mentorship. The network offers ongoing support for participants who have aged out of Be-Girl but want to stay connected, grow, and give back. It also welcomes new members who share a passion for leadership, learning, and empowerment, creating a supportive community where young women can continue to thrive.

Our Story of Success

Few words about us our impact.

When Asha arrived at BE-GIRL at age 13, she was quiet, unsure, and juggling a new life in Canada. Her family had recently immigrated, and Asha struggled to find places where she felt seen and understood. She signed up for Week 2 (Women in Trade and Entrepreneurship) because she liked working with her hands and wanted to try something different.

Community and Support BE-GIRL’s mentorship didn’t stop at technical skills. Asha had conversations about goal-setting, saving money, and balancing school and work. She connected with other girls who shared similar experiences.
